Canada's September Port Clearances SlowVANCOUVER - Oct 4/05 - SNS -- Special crop export activity through licensed terminals at Canadian ports slowed considerably in September, with the Canadian Ports Clearance Association reporting 107,295 metric tons (MT) shipped through Vancouver and Thunder Bay. This compares to clearances of 209,763 MT in August. However, total clearances are well above the 67,193 MT shipped during the same month last year. Field peas dominate port clearances, accounting for over 96% of all specialty crops loaded in ships at reporting terminals so far this season.
