South Africa Plans More BeansPRETORIA - Sep 20/05 - SNS -- Pulse production levels have good potential to increase in the 2005-06 marketing year, with growers now following up on expanded lupin seedings with an increase in intended dry edible bean plantings. The South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS) said dry edible bean area in the country could advance 18.7% to 58,500 hectares; while its lupin area estimate was left unchanged at 14,100 hectares and forecast winter lupin production unchanged at 15,510 metric tons (MT).
