Record Organic Retail in Austria
WASHINGTON - Sep 15/05 - SNS -- This year started with a major increase in retail sales of organic products, with sale jumping 17.3% above last year to Euro 65.1 million ($85.4 million) between January and April, according to a recent RollAMA study conducted by the Austrian marketing organization "AMA Marketing".
Quantities were also higher in the first trimester and accounted for 29,705 MT (plus 14.7%). The development of organic sales in Austria is a steadily upward one, notes the U.S. agricultural attache for the country in commenting on the report.
