ADM to Close Irish Plant
NEW YORK - Sep 14/05 - SNS -- Archer Daniels Midland Company plans to close its citric and gluconic acid manufacturing facility in Ringaskiddy, Cork, Ireland.
The company has entered negotiations with the local unions regarding the discontinuation of its operation. The plant's products are mainly for use in the food and soft drinks industry. It has been in operation since the early 1970s and was acquired by ADM in 1990.
