Weather Helps Advance Dry Bean Harvest
WASHINGTON - Sep 12/05 - SNS -- This year's dry edible bean harvest made good progress in the United States during the past week under dry and warm conditions in nearly all producing states, judging from the latest state level crop progress reports.
About a third of the crop is off in Washington state and Montana, while 10% or less has been harvested in Idaho, Nebraska and Wyoming. Unfortunately, the condition of crops is generally lower than it was last week.
