Growth Potential For NA Beef in Europe
WASHINGTON - Sep 11/05 - SNS -- Despite the European Union's ban on hormone treated beef, exporters in the United States are increasing sales, especially at the high end of the market, reports the U.S. agricultural attache for the region.
"The EU became a net beef importer in 2003," the agricultural attache noted. "This beef deficit is expected to increase in the coming years, as European beef production is declining and consumption expected to remain stable."
