PAMI Gets $332,500 from ManitobaWINNIPEG - Jul 4/02 - SNS -- Manitoba has reaffirmed its commitment to the Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI), paying the first installment of grants it is giving to the organization this year, says Agriculture and Food Minister Rosann Wowchuk. "Changing technology plays an enormous role in the agri-business sector," said Wowchuk. "PAMI's role in developing, testing and evaluating farm machinery is essential to our goal of helping farmers make their businesses more profitable, especially through access to current technical information." This instalment of $110,833 in funding represents the first payment of the $332,500 in support the province will make to PAMI in 2002-03.
