Costs Affect Birdseed Pricing
VANCOUVER - Sep 2/05 - SNS -- Birdseed markets finished the week on a mixed note as rising transportation costs saw delivered prices rise even as domestic markets were little changed.
The effect was obvious in Canadian canaryseed, where inter-dealer markets were unchanged on the week, but importers report rising asking prices despite limited demand.
