U.S. Sunflowers Condition ImprovesWASHINGTON - Aug 29/05 - SNS -- Sunflower crops remain in largely good condition in the main producing states in the United States. Last week brought mild weather to much of South Dakota, with most areas also receiving precipitation. This precipitation helped to increase soil moisture levels in several areas, as well as improve row crop conditions throughout the state. Topsoil moisture levels improved from 46% adequate to surplus the previous week to 51% adequate to surplus last week.
