UK Dairy Output DroppingWASHINGTON - Aug 24/05 - SNS -- Milk production in the United Kingdom is undergoing a long term decline, which could see production fall one billion liters below quota by 2007, reports the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. A research report funded by the UK Government's Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) has concluded that more UK dairy farmers ceased production between April 2003 and April 2005 than had intended to do so in 2003.
