CN Plans Intermodal Capacity ExpansionMONTREAL - Aug 19/05 - SNS -- CN plans to increase intermodal train capacity 20% between the Port of Vancouver and Montreal and Toronto, while boosting capacity for domestic container moves between Toronto and Montreal and major Western Canada centers by more than 10%. In all, the new service plan, effective Aug. 22, 2005, will allow CN to accommodate an additional 125,000 intermodal units per year across Canada, an increase of 15%. CN offers fourth morning service between Toronto and Vancouver, as well as third morning service to Edmonton and Calgary from Toronto, and second morning service between Toronto and Winnipeg.
