CCC Lending Rates Down in JulyWASHINGTON - Jul 1/02 - SNS -- Interest rates payable on 1995 and prior crop year commodity loans disbursed by USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation during July 2002, is 2.250%, down .125 from the June 2002 rate. For 1996 and subsequent crop year commodity and marketing assistance loans, the interest rate is 3.250% for loans disbursed during July 2002, down .125 from June 2002. The interest rate for farm storage facility loans approved in July is 4.750%, down .125 from the June 2002 rate. Past monthly releases announcing interest rates charged by USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation on commodity and marketing assistance loans disbursed for that particular month reflected the interest rate charged the CCC by the U.S. Treasury for that month.
