Vancouver Containers Still Back-LoggedVANCOUVER - Aug 15/05 - SNS -- The forced end to the container truckers strike in Vancouver has diverted attention away from the port, but it seems it will take many weeks longer than expected to clear the backlog because of a lack of interest by all participants. The CIFFA (Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association) said the situation has been made worse by the fact all companies which try to pick up and deliver containers at the port must sign the back to work deal which ended the port strike.
