German BSE Cases Continue DeclineWASHINGTON - Aug 14/05 - SNS -- During the first half of 2005, Germany reported 22 cases of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE), compared to 33, 13 and 54 during the same period in 2004, 2003 and 2002, respectively. The U.S. agricultural attache for the country said two more cases were confirmed through August 8, lifting the total number of BSE cases to 381, since its first detection in Germany in November 2000.
