Chickpeas Unaffected by Higher U.S. Area
VANCOUVER - Aug 12/05 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were unaffected by the latest USDA crop production report, which confirmed a significant expansion in total plantings in the United States.
Seeded area jumped from 45,000 acres in 2004 to 88,700, with another 6,000 to 7,000 acres sown in Colorado not counted by the USDA.
