Week Ends on Fairly Busy Note
CHICAGO - Aug 12/05 - SNS -- The week ended on a relatively busy note, with some ongoing activity reported at the same time as traders were analyzing the latest USDA crop production estimates.
Exporters in the United States report selling 288,000 metric tons (MT) of corn for delivery to unknown destinations in 2005-06.
In releasing information about the sales, the USDA said exporters in that country are required to report any export sales activity of 100,000 MT or more of one commodity, made in one day to one destination, by 3:00 p.m. Eastern time on the next business day following the sale. Export sales of less than these quantities must be reported to USDA on a weekly basis.
