Canadian Port Clearances Post Best JulyVANCOUVER - Aug 4/05 - SNS -- The 2004-05 marketing year finished on a less spectacular note than hoped, with over 76,000 metric tons (MT) of peas scheduled to be lifted from Vancouver in July delayed until the first week of August. As a result port clearances at Vancouver and Thunder Bay finished the season with 126,194 MT of peas and no other specialty crops loaded through licensed terminals at the ports of Vancouver and Thunder. This up from 122,292 MT in June, and is the best result for July since specialty crops started being shipped from Canada on a bulk conventional basis.
