Dairy Product Markets Mainly Higher
WASHINGTON - Jul 29/05 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were mostly up during the week ending July 23, reveals this USDA sector report.
Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.54 per pound. The price per pound advanced 1.2 cents versus last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.51 per pound, up 0.8 cents from the previous week.
Butter prices obtained for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.61 per pound. The U.S. price per pound declined 1.8 cents versus the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices realized for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 94.4 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained 0.6 cents from last week.
