Dry Weather Pushes Saskatchewan CropsREGINA - Jul 25/05 - SNS -- Specialty crops grown in Saskatchewan are developing rapidly on account of warm and dry conditions, with crops still rated in good to excellent condition, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food's weekly crop report. Topsoil moisture conditions on crop, hay, and pasture land continue to be generally adequate across the province, although the areas of short and very short moisture have increased from last week. Many areas are looking for a final rain to fill the crops. Pulse crops are about 90% in good to excellent condition, with 10% of the crop behind normal development. Wind was the main source of crop damage and crops are lodging around the province.
