Farm Program Lifts AWP Area 23%WASHINGTON - Jul 12/05 - SNS -- Putting field peas under the U.S. farm program has had a dramatic impact on the Australian winter pea seedings for grain in the United States, according to the latest USDA crop report. Planted acreage of Austrian winter peas in Idaho, Montana, and Oregon is estimated at 37,500 acres up 23% from 2004. Harvested area is forecast at 26,500 acres, up 23% from last year.
