Sask Specialties Progress Near Average
REGINA - Jul 11/05 - SNS -- Specialty crops are advancing at roughly an average pace for this time of year , judging from the last crop progress report from Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food.
Pulse crops are at 64% flowering and 6% podding, compared to the recent five-year average of 59% flowering and 10% podding by the first week of July. Canola and mustard seed are 70% flowering and 2% podding, compared to the recent average of 58% flowering and 5% podding.
