ND Farmers Can Use Quadris on SafflowerBISMARCK – Jul 8/05 - SNS -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted a specific exemption for Quadris® Flowable Fungicide to control Alternaria leaf spot (Alternaria carthami and Alternaria alternata) on safflower s grown in North Dakota. The exemption allows a single ground or aerial application of Quadris® Flowable Fungicide at a rate of 6.2 to 9.3 fluid ounces of product per acre. Applicators must follow all directions, restrictions, and precautions on the federal label and Section 18 use directions, and must have a copy of the Section 18 label in their possession during application. A maximum of 16,600 acres of safflower may be treated in the state of North Dakota. The exemption expires Aug. 15, 2005.
