Australian Auction Offerings JumpSYDNEY - Jul 8/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd jumped during the past week on steep advances in the number of cattle, sheep and lambs sold. Throughput for the week totalled 30,655 sheep and lambs, up from 11,777 head the previous week, for a second week over week gain. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 2,739, compared to 1,464 last week, offsetting the previous week's losses. "Since it began raining all but cows seemed to make major price gains, but this week cows caught up with a vengeance," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
