Australia Pulse Crop Prospects ImproveVANCOUVER - Jul 5/05 - SNS -- Widespread rainfall in Australia during the past month has recharged this year's pulse crops, resulting in a major rebound in production prospects for the country. Before the rains arrived, the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) predicted this year's pulse harvest would increase 2.8% to 1.721 million metric tons (MT). Rain started falling as the June 7 report was released and have since stimulated a major upward revision in pulse production prospects to a forecast 1.772 million MT, up 5.8% from last season.
