Australian Auction Offerings SlipSYDNEY - Jul 1/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd slipped during the past week as gains in cattle offerings were offset by sharp declines in sheep and lamb sales. Throughput for the week totalled 11,777 sheep and lambs, up from 11,206 head the previous week, after falling the previous week. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 1,464, compared to 2,235 last week, offsetting the previous week's gains. "Despite further outstanding falls of rain this week throughput remained sufficient to reflect the state of the markets as they head skywards," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
