U.S. Bean Supply Not BurdensomeVANCOUVER - Jun 30/05 - SNS -- Dry edible beans seedings in the United States will be up sharply this year, but it does not appear that the coming marketing year will finish with a burdensome supplies of beans on hand. In fact, the supply situation facing most classes of beans grown in the United States should remain relatively tight across the 2005-06 marketing year. The USDA did not break out seeded area by class. That breakdown will not be available until the USDA's August 12 crop production estimates are released, while official production by class will not be available until December.
