Millet Area Sinks in U.S.
WASHINGTON - Jun 30/05 - SNS -- Planted acreage for the U.S.'s 2005 Proso millet crop is estimated at 590,000 acres, 17% below last year's total, according to the USDA seeded area estimates for 2005.
All 3 States in the estimating program, Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota, show decreases from the previous year due to lower prices.
