Canaryseed Acreage Under Debate
VANCOUVER - Jun 23/05 - SNS -- Statistics Canada's canaryseed planting estimate could be the subject of some debate because of strong divisions in attitudes toward what growers were doing in their fields this spring.
Prior to the report, some industry participants were making a strong case for a reduced seeded area even though markets remained steady through seeding. Significantly, grower bids have been trending upward since March.
