Poultry Stocks Remain Down on Year
WASHINGTON - Jun 22/05 - SNS -- Total frozen poultry supplies at the end of May were up marginally from the previous month, but down 9% from last year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage.
At 664.3 million pounds, total stocks of chicken were down 4% from the previous month, and down 1% from last year.
At 470.1 million pounds, total pounds of turkey in freezers were up 6% from last month and down 18% from last year.
