Mixed Week for U.S. Dairy ProductWASHINGTON - Jun 17/05 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States recorded a mixed performance for the week ending June 11, with butter and dry whey gaining, while cheddar cheese and nonfat dry milk declined, according to the latest USDA data. Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.48 per pound. The price per pound gained 1.4 cents versus the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.45 per pound, down 1.2 cents from the previous week. Butter prices realized for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade A standards averaged $1.42 per pound. The U.S. price per pound advanced 1.2 cents versus the previous week. Nonfat Dry Milk prices obtained for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 92.4 cents per pound.
