Australian Auction Offerings SlipSYDNEY - Jun 17/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd slipped during the past week as gains in sheep offerings were offset by sharp declines in cattle sales. Throughput for the week totalled 18,597 sheep and lambs, up from 18,412 head the previous week, after falling sharply the previous week. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 1,203, compared to 2,920 last week, ending three weeks of rising activity. "If the follow up rain arrives this weekend, numbers are sure to tighten further over the next few weeks," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
