Canaryseed Planting Nearly Done
VANCOUVER - Jun 10/05 - SNS -- Seeding of this year's canaryseed crop is nearing completion in western Canada and heavy rains during the past week are seen as beneficial to yield prospects for it and other specialty crops.
Growers in some areas describe the situation in simple terms. If there is not another rain, the crop is made. If there is another rain in July, they could be looking at bumper yields.
