Australian Auction Offerings SankSYDNEY - Jun 10/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd sank during the past week on the basis of steep reductions in cattle and sheep offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 18,412 sheep and lambs, down from 30,549 head the previous week, offsetting the previous week's advance. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 2,920, compared to 2,674 last week, for a third week of rising activity. "Sheep numbers were shorter everywhere this week in anticipation of rain and interestingly there wasn't a beast offered today from Queensland," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
