Dairy Product Markets Mainly Firmer
WASHINGTON - Jun 10/05 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were largely higher over the week finishing June 4, according to today's USDA data.
Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.47 per pound. The price per pound declined 2.4 cents from last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.46 per pound, up 1.1 cents from the previous week.
Butter prices received for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.41 per pound. The U.S. price per pound declined 1.1 cents compared to the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices obtained for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 93.5 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound advanced 0.8 cents versus the previous week.
