Greece Reducing Tomato HarvestWASHINGTON - Jun 8/05 - SNS -- Greece is looking to deliberately reduce the size of its industrial tomato harvest this year after growing 2,047,000 metric tons (MT)of table and industrial tomatoes last year. Although weather conditions especially in the key month of April, have been good in Greece, and foretell a good crop, this year's harvest is expected decline to around 1.8 million MT, reports the U.S. agricultural attache for the country.
