Japan's Fruit Harvest May RiseWASHINGTON - Jun 8/05 - SNS -- Stone fruit production in Japan is expected to be up this year despite cold weather, but the outlook for 2006 is not as good, according to a recent report from the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. This year's sweet cherry crop is expected to be up 12% from the previous year, rising from 16,400 metric tons (MT) to a forecast 18,400.
