Russia Raises Starch Import DutiesWASHINGTON - Jun 7/05 - SNS -- For the second time in the last eighteen months, the Russian government has applied a temporary increase in import duties for non-modified and modified starches, reports the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. Starting July 1, 2005 and continuing for nine months, import duties on non-modified starches of wheat, corn, potato, manioc, and on dextrin and modified starches will be 20% of customs value, but not less than 0.06 Euros per kilogram.
