U.S. Corn Belt Feed Ingredient ReviewST. JOSEPH - Jun 7/05 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest review of feed ingredient markets across the U.S. corn belt today, including coverage of pellets, distillers grains and other products.
Corn Belt Feedstuffs
Wholesale Bids. Truck or Rail dollars per ton.
Compared to last week feedstuff prices highly mixed. Many ingredients showed
a wide price spread. The most prominent quote was the very cheap Millfeeds
prices out of Buffalo. Traders said this was due to poor demand. Crops, hay
and pastures looking very promising as most places continue to get good rains.
Farmers very busy putting up hay and getting ready for wheat harvest.
SOYBEAN MEAL: 48 percent rail was 50 cents lower from 212.20-216.20 per ton.
48 percent truck was .50-2.50 lower from 214.20-221.20 per ton. CORN BY-
PRODUCTS: Gluten Feed 21 percent, Interior Points was steady from 42.00-58.00;
Chicago was steady from 42.00-62.00. 60 percent Gluten Meal, Interior Points
was 10.00-20.00 higher from 300.00-315.00; Chicago was 5.00 lower-15.00 higher
from 300.00-315.00 per ton. Hominy Feed, Central Illinois Points rail was
steady-1.00 lower higher from 40.00-45.00; truck were 3.00 lower-4.00 higher
from 45.00-55.00. Crude Corn Oil was steady from 30.25-31.50 cents per
pound.
MILLFEEDS: Northwest were steady-4.00 lower from 32.00-38.00; Buffalo was
3.00-6.00 lower from 18.00-30.00 per ton.
DISTILLER'S DRIED GRAINS: Central Illinois was 2.00-7.00 higher from
58.00-68.00; Chicago was steady-2.00 lower from 66.00-78.00; Lawrenceburg, Il.
was 2.00 higher at 76.00 per ton; Nebraska was steady to 3.00 higher at 90.00-
93.00 per ton; Minnesota was 1.00-4.00 higher from 75.00-77.00 per ton; Kansas
was 3.00 higher at 93.00 per ton.
ALFALFA PELLETS: Toledo, Ohio 17 percent dehydrated was 2.00 lower-4.00
higher from 160.00-172.00; meal was 2.00 lower-4.00 higher from 164.00-176.00
without oil, 167.00-169.00 with 1/2 percent, and 170.00-182.00 with 1 percent
oil. Sun-Cured 15 percent pellets were steady at 159.50; meal was steady at
163.50 without oil, 166.50 with 1/2 percent, and 169.50 with 1 percent oil.
