Pessimism Over Australian Pulse CropVANCOUVER - Jun 7/05 - SNS -- The Australian government has painted a more pessimistic outlook for the coming season's pulse harvest than last month's initial outlook from Pulse Australia. Total pulse production is still expected to expand over the 2004-05 harvest, but instead of jumping almost 70%, the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) numbers point to only a 2.8% increase to 1.721 million metric tons (MT) of all classes of pulses.
