Saskatchewan Specialties in Good ConditionREGINA - Jun 7/05 - SNS -- Development of this year's specialty crops is slightly behind normal, suggest Saskatchewan's crop reporters, but they are in mostly good to excellent condition. Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food's weekly crop progress report suggests seeding of this year's specialty crops is nearly complete even though heavy rainfall in eastern areas of the province stopped progress at the end of last week. Across the province, pulse crop development is rated as normal by 58% of reporters; spring cereal development is rated normal by 57% of reporters, with 41% rating development as behind. Oilseed development is rated as normal by 51% of reporters; and fall cereal development is rated as normal by 72% of reporters. More than 80% of all crops are rated in good to excellent condition.
