Jones Resigns From Tyson Board
NEW YORK - Jun 4/05 - SNS -- David A. Jones resigned from the board of directors of Tyson Foods, Inc. effectively immediately.
Jones cited increased responsibilities at Spectrum Brands, where he is chairman and CEO, as the reason for his decision. He has served on the Tyson board since 2000.
Jones was one of five independent directors on Tyson's ten-member board. The other board members include Lloyd V. Hackley, Jim Kever, Jo Ann R. Smith, Albert C. Zapanta, Don Tyson, John Tyson, Leland E. Tollett, Barbara A. Tyson and Richard L. Bond.
