Doubts About Canada's Chickpea AreaVANCOUVER - Jun 3/05 - SNS -- No changes were reported on North American chickpea markets under relatively light trading conditions. No major problems are reported with this year's crops in western Canada or in the United States. There are, however, doubts about the quantity of chickpeas which were sown in western Canada because of the damper conditions in much of Saskatchewan and Alberta.
