French Field Pea Area in Steady Decline
WASHINGTON - Jun 2/05 - SNS -- Field pea production has been declining steadily in France since 1993 because farmers can make more money growing other crops, reports the U.S. agricultural attache for the country in a recent look at the sector.
This year's seeded are will follow the trend, with area falling 4% from 357,000 last year to an estimated 340,000 hectares.
