Thunder Bat Shipments Gaining on 2003-04VANCOUVER - Jun 2/05 - SNS -- Shipments of specialty crops through Thunder Bay are slowly gaining on last season, but remain at disappointing levels given the massive increase in total specialty crop production realized last year. Output in 2004 ended up around a record 5.234 million metric tons (MT), eclipsing the previous high of 4.94 million MT set in the year 2000. However, there is no comparison in the volume of specialty crops shipped through Thunder Bay during the 10 months spanning August through May of the two marketing years.
