Japanese Milk Output to SlipWASHINGTON - May 27/05 - SNS -- Milk production in Japan is expected to slip to around 8.32 million metric tons (MT) this year of an expected decrease in the number of milking cows. According to a recent report from the U.S. agricultural attache for the country, last years' fluid milk level was 8.36 million MT. Based on January - September data, production in Hokkaido will likely remain relatively unchanged, while output in other regions is expected to ease.
