Argentina Grows 4% More CitrusWASHINGTON - May 23/05 - SNS -- Good weather conditions should help lift Argentine citrus production 4% above last season to around 2.67 million metric tons (MT) this year, according to a recent report from the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. Much of the increase will be accounted for by lemon, which is expected to jump to 1.35 million MT in Tucuman, the main producing province in Argentina, and 1.45 million MT nationally.
