Russian Milk Output Under PressureWASHINGTON - May 23/05 - SNS -- Significant declines in the number of dairy cattle in production in Russia is overwhelming productivity gains, resulting in a net decline in total milk production to start the current calendar year. The U.S. agricultural attache for the country estimates milk production in the first quarter of 2005 was down 3.9% and cow numbers by 7.1% compared to the same period in 2004.
