Mexican Coffee Output on UpswingWASHINGTON - May 20/05 - SNS -- Beneficial weather and attractive prices are expected to lead to an increase in Mexican coffee production for the 2005-06 marketing year, believes the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. This could see production reach 4.3 million 60-kilogram bags in 2005-06, an 8% increase from last season. Enforcement of the "Productive Development and Quality Improvement of the Mexican Coffee" program along with the timely delivery of government financial supports is helping stimulate production.
