Japanese Cotton Import Slump SlowingWASHINGTON - May 20/05 - SNS -- Japanese imports of raw cotton are caught in a down trend, according to the U.S. agricultural attache for the country, as part of the restructuring of the country's textile industry. However, that process is nearing completion and imports are expected to stabilize. This season's imports are expected to end up at 165,000 metric tons (MT), down 3% from the previous year.
