NZ Milk Output Under PressureWASHINGTON - May 17/05 - SNS -- Milk production in New Zealand is expected to slip 2.5% in 2004-05 to around 14.6 million metric tons (MT), a decrease of 2.5% from the previous season. The decrease reflects a reduction in the size of the country's dairy herd to 3.97 million cows and heifers in calf or milk, says the U.S. agricultural attache for the country.
